What to Expect: Your Digital Check-In Process
At AXIS Dermatology, we utilize a secure, HIPAA-compliant messaging platform called Klara to streamline your care and minimize wait times.
Once we begin scheduling and your appointment is booked, you will receive a secure text message from our office with a direct link to your digital paperwork. There are no apps to download or passwords to remember.
Before your visit, you will use the secure link to:
- Complete your new patient intake, medical history, and consent forms.
- Update your current medications.
- Securely upload a photo of your ID and insurance card.
Completing this digital check-in prior to your visit allows us to review your information in advance and ensures your appointment begins right on time.
Practice Policies & Expectations
To ensure the highest quality of care and a seamless experience for all of our patients, we ask that you review our core practice policies prior to booking.
- Financial & Cancellation Policy: Copays, co-insurance, deductibles, and non-covered services are due at the time of service. We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Failing to show up for a scheduled appointment without notifying the office will result in a $50.00 no-show fee.
- After-Hours Availability: AXIS Dermatology does not offer 24-hour on-call coverage, after-hours emergency triage, or physician availability on Wednesdays, weekends, or during provider vacations and holidays. For urgent medical issues occurring outside of regular office hours, please visit an urgent care center or call 911.
- AI Ambient Technology: We utilize ambient artificial intelligence (AI) transcription technology to securely draft clinical notes during your visit. This allows our provider to focus entirely on you, rather than a computer screen.
- Skincare Products: We offer a curated selection of medical-grade skincare products for your convenience. You are under absolutely zero obligation to purchase products from our clinic. All skincare sales are final; exchanges for store credit are only permitted within 14 days in the event of a documented allergic reaction or defective product.
